SarahMeet Sarah Swettberg, the new Nurse Practitioner who has joined us at Cambridge Teen Health.

How many times have you had to juggle your schedule to fit in a doctor’s appointment for a family member? We're pleased to share an important health resource that’s right here at CRLS so you won’t have to juggle anymore.

The Cambridge Teen Health Center, in partnership with Cambridge Health Alliance (CHA), is a school-based health clinic located in the CRLS health office. The center is staffed by a full time Nurse Practitioner, a sexual and reproductive health educator and mental health specialists – psychiatrists, psychologists and social workers. All the providers are well versed in caring for teenagers, offer expert level consultation and collaborate effectively with our school nurses.

The team is led by the Medical Director, Dr. Traci Brooks, who has been one of Boston Magazine’s “Top Docs” for several years. Dr. Brooks is an adolescent specialist whose primary practice is at Cambridge Pediatrics. Starting in February, we will be joined by Sarah Swettberg, NP, who comes to us from her previous position at Salem High School Teen Clinic.

Available services include:

  • Physicals
  • Sick visits
  • Immunizations
  • Sexual and reproductive health services — counseling, birth control, STD testing and treatment
  • Mental health support, including substance and alcohol counseling
  • Coming soon – Sarah Bonilla, an immigration lawyer from KIND, will be on site offering free legal services to students

Free care is available for CRLS and Extensions students who are uninsured based on support from the Massachusetts Department of Public Health. And, sexual and reproductive health education and care is free and confidential for all students.

Access is easy. Students can be seen during the school day, avoiding the need to set up an appointment offsite at their doctor's office. This saves time for busy students and parents! We hope you will encourage your teen to use this convenient and excellent health care service. Walk-ins are welcome, but teens can also call for an appointment at 617.665.1548.

Appointment Information

  • All students can be seen, even if you have no insurance or insurance restrictions or networks. Parents will not be billed.
  • Are you a current patient with an urgent care need after hours? Call 617.665.1548 to reach the answering service and receive advice from a nurse.
  • When school is closed for holidays or summer break, Teen Health patients can be seen at Cambridge Pediatrics located at Cambridge Hospital.
