2013 Athletic Award and Scholarship Information
After numerous conversation with parents, Friends of Cambridge Athletic members, coaches, athletes, and Mr. Smith we will be changing the way we distribute our Senior Athletic Awards and FOCA Scholarships. Rather than presenting awards and scholarship on the scheduled date of June 3rd, the FOCA Scholarships will be distributed during Scholarship Night and the Athletic Awards will be presented on May 21st and 23rd in Community Meeting, during a special edition of Falcon Sports Weekly. The Athletic Night has been poorly attended in the past and we feel that this change will allow our student-athletes to be recognized by not only their peers, but also the entire CRLS student body and faculty. 3/18/2013: Congratulations to the following Indoor Track team members who were selected as Boston Globe and Herald All Scholastic: 4x200 (Anchella Bernard, Dora Cronin, Kenlee Persume, Sydney Fisher), 4x200 (Shaquel Anderson, Joseph Kozlowski, Dashawn Velez, Alexander Kirby). In addition, Scott Cody and Jamalh Prince were selected as Boston Globe Indoor Track Coaches of the Year.

12/10/2012: Congratulations to Sam Stubbs (Cross Country) and Elijah Scott (Football) on being selected as an All Scholastic by the Boston Herald.

11/2/2012: MIAA Tournament News: Boys Soccer will host Chelmsford HS on 11/2 @ 2PM @ Danehy Park. Girls Soccer will travel to Madison Park (75 Malcolm X Blvd. Boston) on 11/2 @ 7PM.

7/2012: Breaking News: MIAA Changes Physical Exam (PE) Rule...Please Be Aware
The Massachusetts Interscholastic Athletic Association's Board of Directors informed its member schools this week of a change to Rule 56, concerning Physical Examinations (PEs). PEs now expire exactly 13 months after the date of the exam, so that a student-athlete may now become medically ineligible in the middle of a given season. This ruling replaces the previous interpretation that as long as the PE was good for the beginning date of the season, then it would carry the student for the whole season. Now, students and families need to plan PE updates so that they may avoid getting caught in a situation where the PE expires mid-season.
