CHA Teen Health Center is offering FREE FLU SHOTS to CRLS students. If you would like your student to receive the flu shot, please sign the "
CHA Consent for Treatment" AND the "
Flu Consent" forms, and have your student bring these signed forms to the CHA Teen Health Center.

Why should I get the flu shot?
The flu can be very serious. Every year in the U.S. the flu causes thousands of hospital admissions and even deaths. Even if the current flu vaccine is not an exact match with the current year flu virus, it may still offer some protection. The flu shot is the best way to help protect you and your loved ones against the flu.
Will the flu shot give me the flu?
The viruses in the flu shot are killed (inactivated), so you cannot get the flu from a flu shot. Some minor side effects that may occur are soreness where the shot was given, low-grade fever, and aches. These side effects are NOT the flu. It is not possible to get the flu from the flu shot.
