The English curriculum is designed to build students proficiencies sequentially. The curriculum concentrates on reading, writing and oral communication. Four years of English is required for graduation; English 9, English 10 and English 11 and an elective the fourth year. In grade s nine, ten and eleven, all English courses are required and offered at the College Preparatory and Honors level. Each course in the sequence from grade nine through twelve is designed to support students prepare for college, work and the world beyond high school.
