Ezra,
Friends of CRLS's Administrative Assistant from July 2 through August 10 courtesy of the Mayor’s Summer Youth Employee Program (MSYEP), has brought skills, knowledge, creativity, and amiability to the FOCRLS office. We’re extremely fortunate to have Ezra with us for these six weeks, during which time he has been posting to our website and social media, taking photos, doing internet and phone research, making data updates, designing a program poster, and more. In addition to an impressive range of skills, Ezra always has a positive attitude and has been a delight to have on our staff! We’re major fans of the Mayor’s Program, not only for providing us with a wonderful worker but also for the assortment of opportunities it offers Ezra and his peers, including weekly and financial literacy workshops, college tours, social activities, and the chance to help with the seniors’ picnic in Harvard Yard. His job counselor, Marisa, visits several times per week and keeps Ezra informed with updates, reminders, and guidance. Thank you, Mayor McGovern and the City of Cambridge’s Office of Workforce Development for this valuable and varied program!
