Cambridge Rindge and Latin School is proud to be a
Global Navigator School through CIEE, a respected nonprofit organization dedicated to offering high school students immersive summer study abroad experiences. CIEE provides exceptional
scholarship opportunities, with financial aid and merit-based grants covering up to
100% of program costs. Students can choose from over 35 programs offered in 22 countries during summer sessions.
Scholarships and Application Details
CIEE offers a variety of scholarships and need-based grants that can cover a significant portion of program and travel costs. Applying early is highly encouraged!

Program Options
CIEE High School Summer Abroad Programs offer a diverse array of programs to match every student's interests and goals.
Language & Culture Programs
These four-week immersion programs are perfect for students looking to dramatically enhance fluency in a world language, including Spanish, French, German, Italian, Arabic, Japanese, Korean, and Mandarin Chinese. Programs feature homestays, dynamic classroom learning, cultural activities, and excursions. Participants have the opportunity to earn 4 college credits from Tulane University.
Theme-Based Programs
These three-week immersion programs focus on specialized topics, providing hands-on experiences that foster personal growth and global awareness in a chosen field. Options include:
- STEM: Robotics, Architecture
- Creative Arts: Filmmaking, Dance & Culture, Art History & Culture, Culinary Arts, Music, Photography, Arts
- Global Studies & Business: International Affairs, Business & Marketing
- Culture & Language Studies: Anime & Manga in Pop Culture, Chinese, Korean, Creative Writing
- Community & Leadership: Leadership & Service, Service-Learning, Debate
- Environment & Health: Animal Conservation, Sustainability, Conservation & Sustainability, Health
- Other Interests: Fashion, Performing Arts
