Harlem Globetrotters Teach Class at Harvard University

A full team of Harlem Globetrotters bring their highflying talents to
the pinnacle of higher education to lead a class at Harvard University.
Eight members of the world famous team will teach their renowned
“C.H.E.E.R.™ For Character” program to students from Martin Luther King,
Jr. School.
The Globetrotters will incorporate their signature ball handling
skills into a motivational presentation that highlights the importance
of Cooperation, Healthy mind & body, Effort, Enthusiasm and Responsibility.
The Globetrotters bring their new “4 Times the Fun” tour to Boston
for two games at the TD Garden on Saturday, March 26 at 7:30PM and
Sunday, March 27 at 2PM.
As the “Ambassadors of Goodwill,”™ the Globetrotters designed the
C.H.E.E.R. program with assistance from the U.S. Department of
Education. Prior to playing 278 games in 225 North American cities,
Globetrotter players bring the program to hundreds of schools in 2011.
The Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. School is an innovative public junior
kindergarten to eighth grade school near Harvard Square. It is the
recipient of the state’s Expanded Learning Time grant and a federal
grant to become the first two-way Chinese immersion school in the
greater Boston area starting this fall.
