UnpluggedOn Friday, March 9th, CRLS celebrated “CRLS Unplugged,” a day of disconnecting from our mobile phones. The event, a collaboration between the CRLS Library and Instructional Technology teams, partnered with the National Day of Unplugging, which aims to challenge students to put down their phones and participate in connecting with others in real life.

Participating students visited the CRLS Library to enjoy free pizza and received cell phone sleeping bags filled with goodies and conversation topic cards. Activities included reading one of CRLS’ Top 10 fiction and non-fiction books, playing board games, designing Unplugged posters in multiple languages, and voting on Chromebook cases. Over 150 students participated in the event, and students expressed that they enjoyed letting their phones “sleep” while they connected with classmates.
