CRLS Musicians Accepted into Prestigious Ensembles

crls musiciansThis year, six students representing CRLS's music department were accepted into Massachusetts's Senior District ensembles. Senior flutists Kailash Nakagawa and Josie Weissburg, senior trumpeter Elizabeth Lucas-Foley , junior trombonist Lewis Bryant III, sophomore bassoonist Seth Goldman, sophomore trombonist Alex Russell were all accepted into prestigious ensembles. Of them, four qualified for All-State ensembles. Kailash Nakagawa, Josie Weissburg, Seth Goldman, and Alex Russell were all accepted into this intensive three-day program, which is packed with rehearsals and culminates with a performance in Boston's Symphony Hall.

One CRLS student was admitted to the All-National Symphony Orchestra. Senior Nathan Muz earned the principal chair for bassoon in this national ensemble that represents the top performing high school musicians in the United States. The 2019 All-National Symphony Orchestra was held in Orlando, Florida and was directed by Dr. Jean Montes.
