Favorite Class at CRLS
College Writing. I really enjoyed the BHCC College Writing courses because it was a realistic view of what English in college was going to look like. I learned many tips and tricks that improved my writing drastically and its one of the few classes that are giving me an upper hand going into college.

Favorite Teacher
Mrs. Reid, Ms. Espinosa, Ms. Richards, Ms. Dolan, and Ms. Hamilton. All of these people have seen my growth throughout high school. In addition, they have always been there when I most needed them and have made many sacrifices to ensure I continue on a path to success. These people became more than just staff, they became people who I confided in and trusted completely. Honestly all the staff I've meet in these four year are nothing far from amazing.

What are some of the out-of-school time (OST) programs that you participated in between grades 6 - 12?
Breakthrough and Summer College Immersion Program.

How did being enrolled in any OST program(s) contribute to your success in and out of high school?
These programs taught me the importance of preparedness, self advocacy, time management, and communication.

What did you like most about CRLS? Why?
What I loved most about CRLS is the opportunities there are for every career, passion, or hobby. Whatever it is there will always be a place or space for you to keep pursuing and growing in what you love.

What is something people unfamiliar with CRLS should know about the school? Why?
CRLS has a variety of electives and classes that you wouldn't typically find anywhere else. I think its an important reflection of just how diverse and opportunity-rich CRLS is.

Advice to Incoming Freshmen
Do the best you can academically freshmen year because down the line it will be the foundation for your GPA. In addition, establish connections with your teachers, deans, and guidance counselors. They will be the people who are helping you the most throughout your four years.
