Favorite Class at CRLS
Science. Before entering high school, I never really enjoyed science but I had the pleasure of having wonderful teachers who made me change my mind. It relates to the real world and it can take you far in life, as you understand the foundations of nature. Shout out to Ms. Porreca, Ms. Dorritie, and Ms. Augustine in particular, they made it happen.

Favorite Teacher
Ms. Nathan. She always believed in me since day one, I didn't have just a strictly educational bond with her, we formed a connection beyond that. She has never failed me in being there for me and having faith in me. She's truly the best guidance counselor ever, regardless of what she says.

What are some of the out-of-school time (OST) programs that you participated in between grades 6 - 12?
Breakthrough, The Possible Project, This Way Ahead, Volunteered at my church to provide for the homeless,

How did being enrolled in any OST program(s) contribute to your success in and out of high school?
All of the programs have had a significant impact on who I am today, they have shaped me and have taught me valuable lessons throughout this large journey. They made sure I felt that school isn't all there is, that there are chances out there to spend your time and opportunities to develop beneficial skills. In addition to that, in these programs I have formed bonds with people who will now carry on with me to the future.

What did you like most about CRLS? Why?
I liked that there were so many opportunities that were provided and offered, even ones I didn't get the chance to take a look at. The staff truly care about the students are a person and if one individual may not, there is always someone out there that does. There are just so many routes to take in that building, just find the right one.

What is something people unfamiliar with CRLS should know about the school? Why?
People should know that like I said there are several opportunities out there, to just get out your comfort zone and find it. The school is hard to manage at first, but one will get the hang of it. It's a school where you can find you true passion among the range of activities and practices that are given, all that is needed is to to just take the chance and go for it.

Advice to Incoming Freshmen
To focus on yourself and your future, yes to have fun at times, but to not overdo it. I made the mistake of setting my freshman year as a bas start and I regret it every day. High school is the foundation of your future, just make sure to introduce it the best way you can. Live life, have fun, but put school first. Oh and surround yourself with positive influences, it truly makes a difference.
