Success at the State Science Olympiad

Earlier this month the CRLS Science team competed in the state Science Olympiad and earned 7th place in the state out of 67 participating schools. Special shoutout to Ivy Yao and Maya Rosen on their 1st place win in Optics, earning a medal for the for the first time in many years for CRLS. Under the leadership of co-captains Ivy Yao and Theo Maslan and science olympiad coordinators Kalle Nikula-Gill and Lucas Economou, students were supported and motivated in their hard work, with many events making significant improvement since the Harvard Invitational. The CRLS Science team placed competitively in the areas of geologic mapping, dynamic planet, forensics, Science Quiz Bowl, chemistry lab, Astronomy, and more!
