The 12 members of World Jazz Ensemble just performed at an outdoor
concert in front of the Arts Building. It was the first time that a
school ensemble performed on that great space! They performed on Friday,
May 30, and it was clear, beautiful, and sunny.
The WJE was joined by a special guest: Assistant Principal Bobby
Tynes. The repertoire included a wide selection of music from the the
US, Brazil, and Cuba. The students worked really hard this year and
accomplished a lot by learning challenging material. The performance was
part of Nest Fest during lunches A and B.
If you would like to audition to be part of World Jazz Ensemble next
year, please contact Mr. Guillermo Nojechowicz at [email protected] or call Visual and
Performing Arts at 617.349.6788.
