Our CPS social media community is growing! Over the summer, we created Facebook pages for each school (minus the few that already had a Facebook presence). This is a fantastic tool that adds to the
communications mix for each school – it’s such a
quick, easy way to share info with families who may not read emails regularly but are on Facebook 24/7.
The ultimate goal is for staff at each school to manage their respective page; in the interim, Amy Spencer is managing the pages and is helping staff get up and
running. A handful of schools have jumped right in and taken ownership, and it’s so exciting to see their Facebook communities grow! And it doesn’t end there: A few schools have also adopted Twitter. We can’t
wait to see what evolves!
