CRLS War Memorial Recreation Center Spectator Capacity Guidelines for Home Games

To begin the winter season, Cambridge Public Schools is limiting spectator capacity for home games to 50%. This will allow for parents/caregivers and some immediate family (brothers, sisters) to attend contests to start the winter season. We hope the capacity limitations will gradually relax as we move past the holiday season.
All Cambridge Rindge and Latin Student Athletes will be given a CRLS placard.
This placard allows only immediate family (such as parent/caregiver, brothers/sisters) into the contests. If the immediate family is not available to attend, then a student athlete is allowed two guests per placard (must enter the facility at the same time). The Athletic Department will request names of spectators to be submitted 24 hours (or the practice) prior to home games/contests. Each placard will have an identifying mark indicating which team it represents. If student athletes try to bend the rules (use a hockey placard for a basketball game or vice versa), their placard will be taken away for the remainder of the season.
Guests can only remain for their student's game.
- Girls and Boys Basketball: If you attend as a guest for a Boys or Girls Basketball JV Team Member, you will have to leave to make space for a Boys Varsity Team Member's family.
- Guests who arrive to watch a Swim and Dive Meet cannot stay for a basketball game nor a wrestling match, etc.
- For each sport, Freshman and JV Team Members may remain in attendance for the Varsity game. All members of the sub varsity teams will sit behind the team bench.
- Whenever possible, spectators will sit in the bleachers/or seating area opposite the team benches.
For away games, we will have to follow the host school's guidelines.
Visiting teams will be allowed only 2 guests per participant into contests/games.
