The CRLS summer reading program, One School, One Story, is a student-driven, year-long program designed to build community through a shared reading experience and foster a love of reading. Every rising 9th - 12th grade student, teacher, and staff member will be given a (free) copy of this year’s chosen book to read over the summer break. When we return to school in the fall, the school community will come together to participate in conversations and engaging activities related to the book and its themes.

We are excited to announce that the book chosen by our students is Scythe by Neal Schusterman. Scythe is a super fast paced dystopian thriller, where advances in technology have allowed humanity to eradicate hunger, disease, war, inequality, and even death. But there are consequences to immortality, and those consequences will compel readers to ask deep questions about what makes life worth living.

Details about the program, how books will be distributed, read-alikes, FAQs, and upcoming events will come to you in emails from [email protected] and will be posted on the One School, One Story website.
