On Saturday, February 27 the CRLS Drama Company participated in the 85th Annual Massachusetts High School Drama Festival, 40-minute play competition. On that day, 112 Schools performed at 14 sites across Massachusetts. CRLS was hosted by St. John's Preperatory School in Danvers. At that site there were eight schools performing. CRLS presented (Scenes from) The Secret In The Wings by Mary Zimmerman. It was chosen as one of the three to move on in the competition to the semi final round. Only 42 schools state wide move on to the Semi Final Round that will happen on Saturday, March 19. CRLS we be performing in Sharon at 9:30AM on that day.
Congratulations to the entire company for their performance. The students dedication, hard work, and passion were evident. Not only were they chosen as a "winner" they received the highest honor of the day, The Stage Manager Award presented by the the host school to the CRLS Stage Manager, Maisha Lakri for her professional, organized, passionate, enthusiastic leadership.

The CRLS Drama Company will have a public performance of their competition piece (Scenes from) The Secret In The Wings by Mary Zimmerman in the Fitzgerald Theatre on Thursday, March 10 at 7PM. They will also be performing in the Massachusetts Drama Collaborative Festival on Saturday, March 12 at Wellesley High School (time TBA).
