First Responders Scrimmage with CRLS Hockey
Posted on 02/26/2016
Cambridge Police and Fire Department members came to the aid of the CRLS Hockey team on Wednesday, but no lives were at risk. The off-duty officers and firefighters were helping our hockey team get ready for the State Championships.
Explains Coach Christopher Watson, "Since we qualified for the state tournament which starts next week, we were looking to schedule some competitive scrimmages for the team to participate in. One of the parents of one of my players is a police officer and suggested he could set something up, and he was able to do so."
The scrimmage was a great experience – forging the bonds of friendly competition between the team members and members of our public safety system. As the team gets ready to compete at the state level, they know they've got a whole community rooting for their success. Go Falcons!
