Good Morning CRLS Students and Caregivers,

We look forward to seeing you at school in person on Monday.

Remember starting May 10th -

  • CRLS students who chose in-person enrollment will attend classes in school every day of the school week
  • CRLS students who chose remote enrollment will attend classes virtually online every day of the school week.
  • The CRLS schedule will change. The schedule for the remainder of the school year is linked here.

There will be two lunch blocks during the school day.  Classroom locations determine when students have lunch

  • Lunch A 11-11:30 AM - You have lunch A if your class is in the Rindge Building on 1, 2, 3 or 4th floor or in the RSTA Auto Garage. If you have Lunch A, you go to lunch first then class.
  • Lunch B 12:15-12:45 PM- You have Lunch B if your class is in the Rindge Building on the 5th floor, in the Arts Building, or War Memorial Building. You also have Lunch B if your Block 3 class is remote or you attend classes online everyday. If you have Lunch B, you go to class first then lunch.

On Wednesday May 12th -

  • MCAS test takers must come to school for an infrastructure trial to ensure student chromebooks and the network will operate smoothly on test days. Students must bring their fully charged Chromebook for this activity. Afterwards, remote 10th and 11th grade students will return home. Students traveling back home will be excused for being late to their classes.
  • 11th grade students who are not taking the MCAS and students in grades 9 and 12 will have a delayed opening and school will start at 9:40AM

Additional In-Person Reminders -

  • Check your schedule on Sunday evening for remote room locations. In person students will take remote classes in learning center locations like the Media Cafeteria, Library, or another designated classroom.
  • There will be two orientation opportunities to help 9th grade and new students get familiar with the school.  9th grade and new students can participate in a walking tour around campus at the end of the day on Monday.  Students in LC-C and R will meet after school in the Fieldhouse to start the tour and students in LC- L and S will meet in the Main Cafeteria. On Wednesday, there will be a question and answer session for new and 9th grade students.
  • If you are a new student and do not have a Chromebook, go to the Box Office Window outside of the Arts Building to pick up a student Chromebook. You can start the pick-up process by emailing Mr. Bernard
  • Please stick with your enrollment choice. As an in-person student, you cannot choose certain days to be in school and other days to work remotely from home. CRLS expects in-person students to attend their classes in person everyday during the school week. If you are sick or do not meet the requirements on the daily health checklist, please notify the school and you will be able to access your classes remotely. If you miss 3 consecutive days of school, your Learning Community Dean will be meeting with you about attendance.

Enjoy your weekend, we look forward to seeing you on Monday.

Sincerely,
Principal Smith
