James Duche, Tutoring Center Teacher

The Tutoring Center, a program of Cambridge Rindge and Latin School, provides an environment in which all students can work toward their personal goals and can achieve academic success.

csv logoCambridge School Volunteer (CSV) tutors are available to help in the center before school (7:30 - 8:05AM), during school, and after school (2:30 - 3:30PM) to meet with students. CRLS students are invited to walk in to apply for individual tutors in the Tutoring Center, room 2132. The application process involves an interview with the Tutoring Center Manager to discuss academic needs and time availability. Once a student is paired with a tutor, a twice-weekly commitment is expected for as long as the student requires support. In addition, a student’s guidance counselor may refer a student for Academic Support Classes for tutoring during the school day.

Did you have trouble with last night’s problem set? Drop-In Math is another CSV program available in the Tutoring Center, Room 2132, for math support before school at 7:30AM. Students may drop in to receive help with math before school, supervised by teacher James Duche.

College planning, application and essay writing assistance for seniors happens every Wednesday from 2:30 - 4PM in the Career College Resource Center. Just drop by to be matched with a CSV College Mentor. Contact Meg Ramsdell for more information.
