Fall 2024: Due to the availability of an instructor, this class will be taught in a hybrid model. It will begin online and then transition to in-person. If you struggle with online instruction, we encourage you to take the winter class. Cameras-on will be required during the class.
The CRLS Drivers Education Program is a state approved program that serves the Cambridge community and is led by Mr. Bill Timmins. Prior to registration, please read the information on registration and the classroom experience here.
General Information for the Driver's Education Class
Registration: Wednesday, October 2 | 3:05-4PM

Where: Class will taught in a hybrid model: Online and in-person in the Automotive Garage Classroom.
When: Classes meet two times per week on Mondays and Wednesdays, starting October 7. For the first two weeks, online classes will run 4-6PM. Classes will return to in-person beginning Monday, October 21 and start after school, 3:05-6PM. Students must attend 30 hours of classroom instruction per the Registry of Motor Vehicles (RMV).
Cost: $700, covers all in-person classroom sessions, the parent/caregiver class, and behind-the-wheel instruction and observation hours. This does not cover any fees charged by the Registry of Motor Vehicles for the learner's permit, road test, or license. That is the responsibility of the student driver.

Please note: A state mandated 2-hour class must be attended by a parent/caregiver for any student driver under 18 years of age.
