Favorite Class at CRLS
English and History electives. Those courses are different from the standard required english and history courses, are research-based, and are based in critical thinking.

Favorite Teacher
Ms. Parrish. She has been on my high school journey all four years and has helped me grow and equipped me with tools that I need/needed to be a better student. She has fought for my rights as a student with an IEP and always wins.

What are some of the out-of-school time (OST) programs that you participated in between grades 6 - 12?
Upward Bound

How did being enrolled in any OST program(s) contribute to your success in and out of high school?
Upward Bound equipped me with the experience of college campus life which will help me when I go off to college. There team has helped and provided guidance during the whole college process.

What did you like most about CRLS? Why?
The thing I like the most about CRLS was the opportunity to take college level courses, because I was able to challenge myself as a student and I was able to go beyond the constructs of the High School curriculum. I also liked the trip I took abroad to Costa Rica. It was a wonderful experience that I hope future CRLS students can part-take in.

What is something people unfamiliar with CRLS should know about the school? Why?
If you are unfamiliar with CRLS, build positive relationships with teachers because they have access to resources and connections you might be interested in.

Advice to Incoming Freshmen
Take a jumble of random classes that interest you. You do not have to do high school in a linear way.
