Favorite Class at CRLS
Photography has taught me how to see and marine biology has given me knowledge of the natural world. Together both disciplines have made me become more aware of the world around me and have given me the ability to accurately photograph what I see.
Favorite Teacher
Ms. Milligan, Mr. McGuinness, Mr. Jordan are favorite teachers. Ms. Milligan is one of the best teachers that I have ever had and has continuously helped me through my time here. She is an excellent photography teacher and if you take her class you will definitely become a photographer. Mr. McGuinness is one of the most creative teachers that I have ever met, he has inspired me to become a SCUBA diver and has taught me so much about the ocean. Mr. Jordan is a very unique teacher, his class was one of the best classes I've had, he opened my mind to new opportunities and learning. The one thing all of these teachers have in common is that they have all changed me as a person and made me better.
What are some of the out-of-school time (OST) programs that you participated in between grades 6 - 12?
Bostons Sea Rovers, Friends of Alewife Reservation
How did being enrolled in any OST program(s) contribute to your success in and out of high school?
I was able to combine my interests in science and photography with organizations like Boston Sea Rovers and Friends of Alewife Reservation. I led wildlife walks in Alewife that many students and teachers went on. My interest in SCUBA diving was strengthened by the marine biology department and the Boston Sea Rovers.
