My favorite subject was science.
Why is it your favorite subject?
Science is my favorite because before I entered the school as a freshman, I knew that science was the main subject I wanted to focus on and it also connects to my future career.

Ms. Reese
What makes that staff person so special?
Ms. Reese is the best! She has helped me so much over the years and always being there for me when I needed someone to talk to, setting me up with out of school activities and so much more. She is very welcoming and willing to help.

What were some of the out-of-school time (O.S.T) programs that you participated in anytime between grades 6-12?
STEM program at MIT (SEED Academy) that I participated in since 7th grade, neuroscience internship at MGH since the beginning of the pandemic, step team from freshman year to senior year.
How did being enrolled in any O.S.T. program(s) contribute to your success both in and out of high school?
Being enrolled in OST allowed me to network with people from different schools and cities that helped me connect what I learned at school and in my social life. Participating in programs allow you to find those connections and be around people that have similar goals to you and position you for so much more success.
What did you like most about CRLS? Why?
Something that I liked the most about CRLS was how many different classes there were. At first I felt overwhelmed because I wanted to know more about the classes I wanted to take, but having a huge variety allowed me to focus on what I want specifically and stick with it, like science.
What is something people unfamiliar with CRLS should know about the school? Why?
Something that people should know is that at CRLS you make you experience what you want it to be. From choosing your classes, out of school activities/clubs/sports, and friends. There is a such a huge variety of everything, and if you ever feel lost, just know that you will eventually find what you like and it won't take too long.
What advice would you give incoming freshmen about CRLS?
Advice to incoming freshman: make connections with your teachers and don't slack off on your academics. Although it is freshman year, make it one of your goals to get good grades because it will be a solid foundation that will help you later on in your time at CRLS.
